Group workshop facilitated by social workers to support tool building to help persons manage and recognize unhelpful thinking patterns. Participants are introduced to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, uncertainty recognition, worry and avoidance coping, improving problem solving skills and managing relapse. Participants are invited back after six weeks to attend a single booster session.
Suitable for: individuals over 18 with mild to moderate anxiety.
Frequency: 3 times a year (fall, winter, spring). Weekly 1.5 hour sessions for six weeks (plus an information session and booster session).
